The badge for members of the NVA hunting society was a non-governmental award of the National People's Army of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which on March 24, 1977, parallel to the badge of honor for special achievements in hunting of the NVA by the deputy minister and head of the rear services Arrangement number 7/77 was introduced. The badge was worn by its members as a sign of membership.

Award terms

The badge of honor could be awarded to all members of the NVA hunting society who have made a significant contribution to the development of hunting through their work or activity, as well as for excellent results in the field of hunting and for services in the breeding of hunting dogs, as falconers or fretters .

Appearance and wearing style

The badge is modeled on the badge of honor, shield-shaped, 20 mm high and wide and is made of non-ferrous metal . In its lower tapering part it shows a light brown red deer antlers on a silver background. The middle of the badge shows two steeply crossed green oak leaves, in the middle of which a black acorn with an orange head points straight up. Above it is the two-line inscription: JAGDGESELLSCHAFT / DER NVA . The entire front of the badge was then coated with polyester resin. On the back there is a horizontally soldered needle with a counter-hook. The badge of honor could not be worn with the uniform of the NVA, but with any other type of suit.
