Adam G. Sevani (born June 29, 1992 in Los Angeles , California ), actually Adam Manucharian , is an American actor and dancer .

Life

Sevani was born to the Italian Edita and the Armenian Gagik Sevani-Manucharian. He is the younger brother of Vahe "V" Sevani, a member of the US boy group NLT . He started dancing very early in his parents' dance studio. He says of dancing that it is something that he needs and in which he sees something universal that can be understood in every language.

Sevani was part of the FlyKidz, a singer group and children's show on the US television channel CBS . He played a small role in the 2007 film Superbad , but his scene was cut out and only ended up in the film's outtakes.

A year later he played with the character of Robert Alexander III, also known as Moose , in the film Step Up to the Streets, his most famous supporting role to date. His portrayal was praised in the New York Times : he was a petite and silly, but also extremely self-assured dancer in the film, and his Moose could very well be the "most blatant nerd in film history". For the role he received the 2008 Young Hollywood Award in the Best Scene Stealer category . A sequel to the film was filmed under the title Step Up 3D and was released in theaters in August 2010. Sevani has taken on the role of Moose again , but as one of the main characters.

In 2008, shortly after the release of Step Up to the Streets , Adam founded the dance group ACDC (Adam / Chu Dance Crew) together with Jon M. Chu, the director of Step Up to the Streets and Step Up 3D . Together with the other dancers from the film, they put together choreographies with which they wanted to beat Miley and Mandy's dance group (M & M's). This dance battle was called "The biggest online dance battle" by Jon M. Chu, as the choreographies could be viewed online on YouTube.

Sevani also appeared in NLT's first music video, and choreographed their video Karma .
