Adam Rudolph von Schönberg
Adam Rudolph von Schönberg (born May 31, 1712 in Maxen ; † February 8, 1795 in Dresden ) was a Privy Councilor and the last postmaster general at the Electoral Saxon court in Dresden.
Life
He was the son of Caspar Abraham von Schönberg (1680–1763) and landlord on Purschenstein , Sayda and Maxen with Leuteritz and, together with his brother, since 1789, lord of Lauterbach . He was also a knight of the Order of St. John and the Royal Danish Order of Dannebrog , as well as designated Commander-in-Chief on Lago and boys .
Schönberg acquired Reichstädt Palace from his father and converted it into a Baroque palace in 1765 . In 1772 he came into the possession of Purschenstein Castle with the associated town of Sayda .
Schoenberg remained unmarried. He died on February 8, 1795 at the age of 82 of "exhaustion" and was buried on February 13, 1795 in the church in Reichstädt in a sarcophagus designed by the Saxon court architect Friedrich August Krubsacius .
