The Adlerstein is an elevation in the Saxon Ore Mountains near Pockau-Lengefeld . Station No. 87 of the Royal Saxon Triangulation is on the summit . It is a pillar that was used to survey Saxony around 1870. Today it would be called a trigonometric point (TP) .

Location and surroundings

The Adlerstein is located in the Middle Ore Mountains not far from the 101 leading from the Heinzebank to Pockau , into which the Lengefelder Straße joins not far. The famous Lengefeld lime works is located directly at the foot . Together with the Lauterbach Bone , the Adlerstein offers complementary views, which are, however, partly overgrown.
