The Adlerstein is an elevation in the Saxon Ore Mountains near Pockau-Lengefeld . Station No. 87 of the Royal Saxon Triangulation is on the summit . It is a pillar that was used to survey Saxony around 1870. Today it would be called a trigonometric point (TP) .
Location and surroundings
The Adlerstein is located in the Middle Ore Mountains not far from the 101 leading from the Heinzebank to Pockau , into which the Lengefelder Straße joins not far. The famous Lengefeld lime works is located directly at the foot . Together with the Lauterbach Bone , the Adlerstein offers complementary views, which are, however, partly overgrown.

You can see u. a. the Saydaer and Brander Höhe, Waldkirchen , Marienberg , Dittersdorfer Höhe , Pöhlberg and Jelení hora (Haßberg), Hora Svaté Kateřiny (Katharinaberg) and the Čihadlo (Lauschhübei) in the Czech Republic .
