In 1543 a citizen of Selva by the name of "Heintz" was enfeoffed by Duke Heinrich's widow with a place at the Lengefelder Wald ( Lautenhain ), from this year the first name as Heintzbangk also dates . In 1551 the Heintzebangk was built as a tavern with relaxation . About the Heinzebank it says in the work "New Saxon Church Gallery":

“With pleasure and often - sometimes all summer long - Heinrich the Pious set up his summer camp in the castle of Selva in order to hunt here or in the vicinity. The establishment of the Heinzebank near Hilmersdorf, a Mannlehnrittergut founded in 1586, in which Heinrich the Pious, popularly known as Heinz or Heinze, on the hill d. H. He had a resting place, a pleasure house or a hunting lodge built, where he liked to have breakfast, especially when hunting [Note: Elsewhere it also says: »[...] the Duke often stayed to either hunt, the To watch mining or to enjoy the view of his beautiful, valley and mountainous land. «]. The bank was therefore called Heinrichsbank or Heinzbank. "

In 1816 , August Schumann describes Heinzebank a. a. so:

“The estate is directly under the office, is a fiefdom in Dresden, has 20 residents, 18 cows and 140 sheep. At Heinzebank there is a road receipt and an escort and accise receipt from the office of Selva . "

The fiefdom was sold to the state treasury in 1887 and is the seat of the forestry master of the Heinzebank forest district. In connection with the construction of the Neunzehnhainer dam , the Buschmühle in the Heinzewald was demolished in 1905 .

It is unclear whether the name "Heinzebank" goes back to a short form of "Heinrichsbank" or is a corruption that alludes to the 1543 enfeoffed citizen of Selva "Heintz".

The hotel restaurant “Zur Heinzebank”, which is one of the oldest inns in Saxony, still stands here today .

On January 1, 1999, the previously independent municipalities of Falkenbach, Gehringswalde, Hilmersdorf and Schönbrunn merged with the city of Wolkenstein, and Heinzebank became a district of Wolkenstein.
