Adolf Braunwald
Adolf Braunwald (* 1875 ; † October 1, 1951 ) was a German architect .
The son of the architect August Braunwald received his training in Stuttgart . One of his early buildings was the Villa Amann in Bönnigheim , which he built based on the model of the Villa la Planta in St. Moritz in the Swiss style. Braunwald also planned the first Heilbronn hut in the Heilbronn am Tascheljöchl section , as well as a school building in Ravensburg , which is now used jointly by the Albert Einstein grammar school and the Spohn grammar school in Ravensburg .
From 1904 Braunwald worked in Heilbronn . In addition to residential buildings such as Villa Fuchs , Haus Happelstrasse 57 and Haus Roßkampffstrasse 4 , he also planned the Liederkranzhaus . The Villa Hauck , built in the " late Baroque style of the French Sun King Ludwig XIV ", was damaged in the air raids on Heilbronn on December 4, 1944, but, unlike many other buildings in this city, it was rebuilt in the classicism style. The building from 1910, which is not listed, was demolished in early November 2011. A garden temple built in 1911 for the wealthy merchant's son Rudolf Sperling , on the other hand, was bequeathed to the entire Protestant parish in the 1970s and continues to exist as part of the Heilbronn senior citizen's garden . In 1907/1912 Braunwald drew up plans for the conversion and expansion of Hornecks Castle in Gundelsheim into a health resort.
Braunwald not only realized his own designs, but also worked as a site manager, e.g. B. for Hermann Muthesius , who designed the Villa Rümelin in Heilbronn's Lerchenstrasse . Braunwald stopped work around 1930.
