Adolphe Proulx
Adolphe E. Proulx (born December 12, 1927 in Hanmer , Ontario , Canada ; † July 22, 1987 ) was a Canadian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Gatineau-Hull .
Life
Adolphe Proulx received on 27 May 1954 the Bishop of Sault Sainte Marie , Ralph Hubert Dignan , the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On January 2, 1965, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular bishop of MissUA and auxiliary bishop in Sault Sainte Marie. The bishop of Sault Sainte Marie, Alexander Carter , ordained him episcopal on February 24 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Coadjutor Archbishop of Rimouski , Louis Lévesque , and the Bishop of London , Gerald Emmett Carter . Proulx attended the fourth session of the Second Vatican Council .
Paul VI appointed him on April 28, 1967 Bishop of Alexandria, Ontario . On February 13, 1974, Adolphe Proulx became Bishop of Hull (later Gatineau-Hull). The inauguration took place on March 30 of the same year.
