Ahmed Mohamed Bekhit Abdelgaber Hamoudi (born July 30, 1990 ) is an Egyptian football player . He was under contract with FC Basel until the end of the 2015/16 season and is currently without a club. He has been a member of the Egyptian national team since 2013 .

Career

On July 29, 2014, FC Basel signed Hamoudi and provided him with a four-year contract. Previously, he played in the Egyptian Premier League for the Smouha Sporting Club and scored a total of 8 goals in the championship in the 2013/14 season, finishing in second place behind al Ahly Cairo .

He made his debut for the first team of FC Basel on August 24, 2014 in the 4–0 away win against CS Italy Genève (GE) in the Swiss Cup . He made his Swiss Super League debut on September 23, 2014 as a substitute in a 3–1 home win in St. Jakob-Park against Vaduz . In the same game he scored his first goal. The 2014/15 season was very successful for FC Basel. The team finished the 2014/15 soccer championship as champions with 12 points ahead of 2nd placed BSC Young Boys and 25 points ahead of 3rd placed FC Zurich . Basel was repeatedly in the final of the Swiss Cup , which was lost to FC Sion 0: 3. In the 2014/15 Champions League season , Basel advanced to the round of 16. During the 2014/15 season, FC Basel played a total of 65 games (36 championship, 6 cups, 8 Champions League and 15 test games). Under coach Paulo Sousa , Hamoudi had a total of 28 appearances, including 12 in the Super League, 2 in the Cup, 4 in the Champions League and 8 in test matches. He scored 5 goals, including 1 in the Super League and 1 in the Cup.

On August 5, 2015 it was announced that FC Basel would loan Hamoudi to Zamalek until June 30, 2016 .
