Ainbrach is a district of the municipality of Aiterhofen in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

location

The church village of Ainbrach is located in the Gäuboden on the right bank of the Danube . The municipality seat Aiterhofen in the southwest is about seven kilometers away. Closer is the town of Bogen , which can be reached via the Xaver-Hafner Bridge . Here the Ainbrach brook flows into the Danube.

history

A traditional document from the Windberg monastery towards the end of the 11th century counts goods in Eimprah as part of the monastery property . In the letter of protection, the Pope Eugene III. Exhibited in the monastery in 1146, its ownership in Einbra was also confirmed.

In the year of conscription in 1752, Ainbrach, which was subordinate to the Straubing Regional Court , consisted of three properties. In 1811 it came to the tax district of Sand and in 1821 to the municipality of Amselfing . Ainbrach was incorporated into the municipality of Aiterhofen in 1978 with the greater part.

Attractions

  • Filial church of St. Michael. It belongs to the parish of Irlbach and was built according to the plans of the Alburg architect G. Glatzl.
  • Church of St. Blaise. The 15th century Gothic building was changed in the 18th century. The former branch church is only used as a funeral hall.
