The Aisne is a river in France that runs in the Mayenne department in the Pays de la Loire region . It rises in the municipality of Champéon , initially drains in an easterly direction through a sparsely populated area, then turns abruptly to the north, reaches the outer border of the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park and flows after 27 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Madré and Neuilly-le-Vendin as left tributary into the Mayenne .
