Alana de la Garza (* 18th June 1976 in Columbus , Ohio ) is an American actress .

Life

De la Garza's father is Mexican-American and her mother is Irish-American . She grew up in El Paso , Texas .

In her youth, de la Garza won various beauty pageants in El Paso . After finishing school, she studied physiotherapy and social work . After successfully completing her studies, she began her acting career and initially received a few small roles, such as Rosa Santos in the soap opera All My Children and guest roles in the television series JAG - On behalf of the honor , Las Vegas , Two and a Half Men and Charmed - magical witches .

In Germany she was best known for her portrayal of Marisol Delektorsky Caine in the US hit series CSI: Miami . Since the 17th season she played the prosecutor Connie Rubirosa in the series Law & Order . She kept this role until the end of the series in the 20th season and was nominated for the 2008 ALMA Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Since 2019 she has played the role of Connie Rubirosa in the TV series FBI again , which she had already played in the series Law & Order .

De la Garza is married to the writer Michael Roberts. In September 2010 she gave birth to their son and a daughter in July 2013.
