Albert Carl Mays (born March 12, 1861 in Heidelberg ; † November 14, 1934 ibid) was a lawyer and official member of the Baden civil service since 1892 , comparable to today's district administrator .

Albert Carl Mays was the son of the businessman Gerhard Mays in Heidelberg and the Josephine born Kirchgeßner. He married Anna, née Klingel, on June 7, 1894 (born June 16, 1865 in Heidelberg; † October 22, 1943 there). From this marriage comes the daughter Maria (born September 22, 1907 in Eberbach ).

Life

After studying law and passing the first and second state exams , Mays became an official at the district office of Lörrach from July 24, 1892, and from 1896 at the district office of Mannheim . On July 7, 1897, he was promoted to senior bailiff and took up his new position at the Schönau district office , from where he was transferred to the Adelsheim district office on June 14, 1899 . From July 17, 1902, he was senior bailiff at the Eberbach district office and was appointed secret councilor on September 9, 1910 . On June 12, 1911, he became a senior official at the Mosbach district office and from April 10, 1918 at the Durlach district office . On April 1, 1924, when the Durlach district office was dissolved, he was retired.
