The District Office Mosbach was established in 1806 as an office in the Grand Duchy of Baden and was later renamed as the District Office on January 1, 1939 in the District of Mosbach .

history

Through the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss 1803 and the dissolution of the Electoral Palatinate , the Oberamt Mosbach and its associated places became part of the newly created Principality of Leiningen . The Rheinbund act mediated the House of Leiningen in 1806, and the princes of Leiningen became landlords under the sovereignty of Baden.

The city and first rural office arise from the Mosbach official places: Mosbach , Diedesheim , Neckarelz , from the Lohrbach office without the three places above Eberbach and without Sulzbach , then from the landlords of Kleineicholzheim , Großeicholzheim , Heidersbach , Binau and the Neckarschwarzachischen place Reichenbach:

Mosbach's second Landamt arises from the Mosbach municipalities Mörtelstein , Obrigheim , Haßmersheim ; from the districts of Neckarschwarzach: Heinsheim including the landed lordship, Asbach , Guttenbach , Neckarkatzenbach , Breitenbronn , Aglasterhausen , from the offices that are transferred here from the Tauberkreis and cease to exist: Neudenau and Billigheim , and from the manorial estates: Stein , Presteneck , Lobenbach, Neckarzimmern with Steinbach , Hornberg and stock Brunn, Dautenzell , Ehrenberg , cabbage and Zimmerhof , Neckarmühlbach with Guttenberg , Kälbertshausen , Hochhausen , finally (excluded above, in the first term) from the Lohrbachischen place Sulzbach .

In 1924, the district office of Mosbach was enlarged to include the municipalities of the district office of Eberbach . Like all Baden district offices, the Mosbach district office was given the name Landkreis on January 1, 1939 .
