Albert Huser

Albert Huser (born May 26, 1936 in Mannheim ) is a former German weightlifter .

Career

Albert Huser grew up in Mannheim and was over 20 years old when he started lifting weights there. At KSV 1884 Mannheim he found a club in which good training conditions prevailed. After initial successes in the Baden region, he took part in German championships for the first time in 1960 and immediately won the title. In 1964 he failed in the Olympic qualification for the Olympic Games in Tokyo narrowly to Werner Dittrich from Zittau . In 1970 he won a bronze medal in pressing at the European Championships, otherwise he was denied further major successes at international championships. He became German champion nine times and set several German records.

Albert Huser was an industrial foreman (chemistry).
