Albert Knoke

Albert Knoke (born April 13, 1896 in Heiningen near Wolfenbüttel , † 1960 in Hanover ) was a German painter.

Life

In 1941 Albert Knoke won first prize in the "Lower Saxony at Work" competition in Hanover. In 1942 he took part in the Great German Art Exhibition in Munich , and in 1953 in the Third German Art Exhibition in Dresden . At the exhibition “This is our city” as part of the German Association of Cities in 1955, he received the 2nd prize from the city of Hanover for his picture Georgstrasse ; Hans Meyboden received 1st prize for his picture Hanover .

Albert Knoke also participated in the campaign against nuclear death .

He was the father of the artist Heinz Knoke , who, however, as a painter autodidactic formed.
