Albert Wetzel

Albert Wetzel (born March 7, 1852 in Calw , † September 14, 1923 in Stuttgart ) was a Protestant clergyman and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Wetzel attended the elementary and Latin school in Calw, the grammar school in Stuttgart from 1860 to 1866 and from 1867 to 1871 the royal evangelical-theological seminar in Maulbronn . From 1871 to 1875 he studied philosophy and theology at the University of Tübingen , temporarily also in Leipzig , Berlin and Geneva . From 1878 to 1887 he was pastor in Machtolsheim on the Swabian Alb and district school inspector for Blaubeuren . Then he was a professor at the Royal Protestant School Teachers' College in Nagold until 1900 and from 1900 in Eßlingen am Neckar . He wrote journalistic works and economic studies, a. a .: Friedrich List as a national educator .

From 1907 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 5 ( Eßlingen , Nürtingen , Kirchheim , Urach ) and the National Liberal Party .
