Alberto Tricarico

Alberto Tricarico (born August 10, 1927 in Gallipoli ) is the emeritus official of the State Secretariat .

Life

Alberto Tricarico was ordained a priest on January 6, 1950 and was incardinated in the clergy of the diocese of Alessandria . On February 28, 1987, John Paul II appointed him Titular Archbishop of Sistroniana and Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Singapore and Thailand and Apostolic Delegate in Laos and Malaysia .

The Cardinal Secretary of State and Cardinal Prefect of the Administration of Goods of the Apostolic See Agostino Cardinal Casaroli consecrated him on April 27 of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were Salvatore Asta , Apostolic Nuncio in Portugal , and Manuel d'Almeida Trindade , Bishop of Aveiro .

In addition, he was appointed Apostolic Delegate in Myanmar on August 13, 1977 . On July 26, 1993 he was appointed official of the State Secretariat . Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation in 2002.
