Alberto Vera Aréjula OdeM (born April 8, 1957 in Aguilar del Río Alhama , Comarca de Cervera , Spain ) is a Spanish religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Nacala .

Life

Alberto Vera Aréjula entered the Mercedarians' seminary in Reus and made his first profession in 1975 . Perpetual profession followed on March 19, 1981 in the El Puig monastery in Valencia . On May 14, 1981, he received the sacrament of ordination .

Pope Francis appointed him titular bishop of Nova Barbara and auxiliary bishop in Xai-Xai on March 30, 2015 . The bishop of Xai-Xai, Lucio Andrice Muandula , gave him episcopal ordination on May 2nd of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Maputo , Francisco Chimoio OFMCap , and the Bishop of Nacala , Germano Grachane CM .

On April 25, 2018, the Pope appointed him Bishop of Nacala.
