Albshausen is a district of Witzenhausen in the Werra-Meißner district in North Hesse .
geography
Albshausen is located on the Dieffenbach, about four kilometers northwest of Witzenhausen in the sand forest .
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 802. The place belonged to the Hessian office of Ludwigstein / Witzenhausen until 1821 and then to the district of Witzenhausen . During the French occupation, Albshausen belonged to the canton of Friedland in the Kingdom of Westphalia (1807-1813).
On 1 January 1974 Albshausen was in the course of administrative reform in Hesse powerful state law in the city Witzenhausen incorporated .
