Aleh Butkewitsch ( Belarusian Алег Буткевіч ; born March 18, 1972 in Braslau , Wizebskaja Woblasz , Belarusian SSR ) is Bishop of Vitebsk .
Life
Aleh Butkewitsch received on 13 May 2000, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On November 29, 2013, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Vitebsk. The Apostolic Nuncio in Belarus, Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti , donated him episcopal ordination on January 18, 2014 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Minsk-Mahiljou , Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz , and the Bishop of Hrodna , Aleksander Kaszkiewicz .
