Alejandro Carvajal (born January 30, 1973 ) is a Chilean pool player .

Career

In 2006 Carvajal reached the 100th place and 121st place once in the International Pool Tour. At the 9-ball World Cup of the same year he was defeated by the Chinese Li Hewen in the round of 64 . In 2007 he was eliminated without a win in the preliminary round. In August 2008 he moved to the final of the Pan American Championship for the third time in a row . After losing to compatriot Enrique Rojas in 2006 and 2007 , he has now defeated Venezuelan Jonny Martinez . In the 9-ball competition of the World Games 2009 , he was eliminated in the round of 16 against Marcus Chamat . At the eighth tournament of the Simonis Cloth Classic Tour 2013, Carvajal reached the final, but lost it to Justin Bergman . At the Pan American Championship 2013 Carvajal won the title in the 10-ball discipline for the first time by beating Jalal Yousef in the final . At the Derby City Classic 2014 , he came third in the 9-ball mini-tournament and 33rd in the one-pocket competition. At the 9-Ball World Cup in 2014 , he was eliminated in the preliminary round. At the Pan American Championships in 2014 and 2015 he managed to successfully defend his 10-ball title by winning the final against Enrique Rojas and Gustavo Espinoza . In September 2015 he was eliminated again in the preliminary round of the 9-Ball World Championship . In August 2016 he became the first Pan American champion in 8-ball in the final against Frailin Guanipa .

In 2014 Carvajal took part in the World Cup of Pool for the first time. Together with Enrique Rojas, he formed the Chilean doubles, which were eliminated in the first round against the Filipinos Dennis Orcollo and Lee Van Corteza .
