The Aleksandr Pushkin ( Russian Александр Пушкин ) is a moving under the Russian flag 4-star river cruise ship that in 1974 on the shipyard Korneuburg the Austrian shipyards AG Linz in Korneuburg / Austria built and the Volga River Shipping Company ( Russian ГП Волжское объединённое речное пароходство МРФ РСФСР ) in Gorky . It belongs to the Maksim Gorkiy class (project Q-040). The ship was named after the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin .

The river cruise ship with four passenger decks is part of a series of four Maksim Gorkiy / Vasiliy Surikov ships manufactured from 1974 to 1975 , which was also known as "Project Q-040" / "Project Q-040A". The Aleksandr Pushkin has a diesel-electric drive with two Soviet four-stroke main engines 6TschRN 36/45 (G60) with 900 hp each.

The Aleksandr Pushkin is used by Vodohod on the Volga , Moskva and Neva on the Astrakhan - Moscow , Moscow - Saint Petersburg cruise routes.

Furnishing
