Aleph guitar quartet

The Aleph Guitar Quartet is an ensemble that specializes in world premieres of contemporary music. The quartet was formed in 1993 and has commissioned compositions.

Events

The quartet has premiered by Beat Furrer , Zeynep Gedizlioğlu , Malte Giesen , Vinko Globokar , Georg Friedrich Haas , Markus Hechtle , Manuel Hidalgo (composer) , Nicolaus A. Huber , Peter Jakober, Jens Joneleit , Bernhard Lang (composer) , Marko Nikodijević , Helmut Oehring , José María Sánchez Verdú , Mauricio Sotelo , Mathias Spahlinger and Martin Smolka . The ensemble worked with the sopranos Petra Hoffmann , Daisy Press and Sarah Maria Sun, the clarinetist Ernesto Molinari and the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra .

It was a guest at the festivals Eclat (music festival) , MaerzMusik , Klangspuren , Steirischer Herbst , Warsaw Autumn , Time of Music Viitasaari, GFA - Guitar Foundation of America , Archipel, Geneva and Pan Music, Seoul.

Concerts have taken the quartet to the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg , the Konzerthaus Berlin and the Auditorio 400 in the Reina Sofia in Madrid.

The quartet took part in the chamber opera A campo abierto by Irene Galindo Quero at the Festival Operadhoy at the Teatro del Canal in Madrid.

It has realized productions with the radio stations of Bayerischer Rundfunk , DRadio , SWR2 , ORF , Saarländischer Rundfunk , Radio Suisse Romande , Polskie Radio .

The Aleph Guitar Quartet received support. a. from the Goethe Institute , the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation and the City of Karlsruhe's Culture Office. The Aleph Guitar Quartet cooperates with the ZKM Institute for Music and Acoustics .

The quartet supports composers and performers in workshops at the UdK Berlin , at the University of the Arts Bremen , Trossingen University of Music , and at the Institute of Music at Chung-Ang University , Seoul.
