Alexander A. Deutsch , pseudonym aleXdrum (born August 9, 1959 in Irdning ) is an Austrian musician .

German grew up in Styria. In 1977 he graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz . In the 1980s, Deutsch lived in America, where he worked with Hal Crook and Jerry Bergonzi , but also recorded his first albums under his own name. He also worked with Wolfgang Muthspiel , Tone Janša , Torsten de Winkel and Jamaaladeen Tacuma . In 1998 he replaced Anders Stenmo , who suffered from a sudden hearing loss , and became the drummer of the First General Insecurity . During the Himmel & Hölle tour 98 he fell ill with pneumonia and had to leave the band after a few months. He was replaced by Robert Baumgartner .

2005 learned German, at that time drummer of the Vienna Jazz Groove Formation Café Drechsler , Anna F. know. He later became her closest adviser, partner and drummer for her band. In 2006, Deutsch was awarded the Hans Koller Prize as Musician of the Year .

In the run-up to the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Austria, at the end of 2014 he and Anna F. were part of the ORF team that was looking for candidates for the Austrian contribution.
