Alex Irvine
Alexander Christian Irvine (* 22. March 1969 in Ypsilanti , Michigan ) is an American science fiction and fantasy - writer , the artist who created Alex Irvine and Alexander C. Irvine published.
biography
Irvine received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 1991, a Master of Arts from the University of Maine in 1996, and a Ph.D. at the University of Denver . Since November 2005 he has been an assistant professor of English at the University of Maine. He also worked as a reporter for the Portland Phoenix for a while .
He is married with twins, a boy and a girl. Until recently he was a professor at the University of Southern Maine . He was a candidate for Jeopardy in 2015 ! and won $ 26,000.
Irvine worked on alternate reality games such as B. The Beast and I love Bees and is the author of the Facebook game Marvel: Avengers Alliance .
Irvine first attracted attention in 2002 when he won the Locus Awards for his novel A Scattering of Jades , which also won the Crawford Award the following year . In 2003 his story collection Unintended Consequences was also noted .
In 2004 Irvine published the novel One King, One Soldier , set in the universe of the Grail Quest by Bernard Cornwell . In 2004, Have Robot, Will Travel , a novel reminiscent of Isaac Asimov's robotic crime novels and the robot laws , was published. The following year, The Narrows , a historical fantasy novel set during World War II , was published. In 2006 she published the story collection Pictures from an Expedition .
