Alexander Bienengräber (born September 8, 1911 in Lüdenscheid , † July 12, 1991 in Rostock ) was a German pathologist.

Life

After graduating from high school in Dessau , bee diggers studied medicine at the University of Leipzig and the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg from 1932 . In 1938 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD.

After working as a doctor in various clinics at Leipzig University Hospital , he went to Leipzig Pathology as an assistant in 1939. Drafted into the Air Force in 1942, he served as a clerk and senior physician at the Saxon air pressure pathologist in Leipzig. He left the Leipzig pathology department in 1948.

In the same year he completed his habilitation at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University of Greifswald , where he was acting institute director of pathology until 1953 . After three years at the Humboldt University of Berlin , he came in 1958 as Professor of Pathological Anatomy at the University of Rostock . From 1960 to 1966 he was Vice Rector for Research Affairs. The neuropathologist Paul Schröter is one of his students . Bee digger retired in 1976 .
