Alexander König (politician)
Alexander König (born April 17, 1961 in Hof an der Saale ) is a German lawyer and politician of the CSU .
Life
After primary school in Schauenstein , he attended the Naila high school , which he graduated from high school in 1981 . After that, König completed his military service and studied law in Bayreuth . In 1988 he passed the first state examination.
After working as a trainee lawyer in the judiciary and lawyer, he became a tax advisor in Hof and worked for the building industry association in Nuremberg . In 1991 he passed the second state examination; from 1991 König worked for Minister of State Georg Freiherr von Waldenfels in the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance . He is also a senior government councilor and deputy head of the office in Auerbach / Saxony.
König is an Evangelical Lutheran, married and has two children.
Political career
At the Junge Union he was local, district and district chairman, at the CSU he has been chairman in the district of Hof since 1991 . After moving into the municipal council in Bad Steben and the district council in 1984, he was elected to the Bavarian state parliament in 1998 . There König is chairman of the committee for petitions and complaints and a member of the committee for constitutional, legal and parliamentary questions.
He represents the constituency of Hof ( constituency of Upper Franconia ).
On August 20, 2013 - shortly before the Bavarian state elections on September 15, 2013 - it was announced that he had accounted for tax costs for a digital camera costing more than 6,000 euros. König told the press agency dpa that he had turned to the state parliament a few weeks ago "of his own free will" in order to refund the money. The camera was too heavy and unwieldy and therefore useless for his purposes. The Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer considered the König case "actually closed" because König had obtained the consent of the state parliament administration and reimbursed the money before buying it.
With the 2018 election , König was re-elected to the state parliament. There he is a member of the Committee for Federal and European Affairs as well as Regional Relations and a member of the Committee for Economics, Regional Development and Energy.
