Alexandra Ranner
Alexandra Ranner (* 1967 in Osterhofen ) is a German artist . Her work includes media, sculptures, films, photographs and installations. Alexandra Ranner lives and works in Berlin.
Life
Alexandra Ranner studied in Munich , Lisbon and Karlsruhe . She completed her diploma in 1994 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . 2003–2004 she had a teaching position at the Stuttgart Art Academy for sculpture / performance / video. Since 2007 she has held a professorship for "Spatial and Plastic Design" in the Architecture Department at the University of the Arts in Berlin .
Her works have been at the 49th Venice Biennale (2001), the 1st International Triennale of Contemporary Art Yokohama (2001), the “Outlook” International Art Exhibition in Athens (2003) and the Fractals IV can be seen in the Palast der Republik Berlin (2005). Her retrospective Karmakollaps was shown from October 2016 to January 2017 at the Georg Kolbe Museum Berlin.
