Alexei Sergejewitsch Voronzow ( Russian Алексей Сергеевич Воронцов ; born January 18, 1986 in Ust-Kamenogorsk , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh ice hockey player who has been under contract with HSC Csíkszereda in the MOL league since October 2016 .
Career
Alexei Vorontsov began his career as a hockey player at HK Sibir Novosibirsk , for which he made his debut in the Pervaya League , the third Russian division, in the 2003/04 season . However, the attacker ended the season at Barys Astana in the Kazakh ice hockey championship . In the summer of 2004, the junior international signed with Kaszink-Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk , for which he ran up in the following five years both in the Kazakh championship and in the Russian league system in the Wysschaja Liga and Pervaya League. With Ust-Kamenogorsk, the left shooter was Kazakh champion in 2005 and 2007 .
From the 2009/10 season Vorontsov played again at his ex-club Barys Astana, which has since been included in the Continental Hockey League . He was loaned to HK Astana from late autumn 2011 . At the beginning of the 2012/13 season he first returned to Barys in their second team, but then played after two games for HK Beibarys Atyrau the season at HK Ertis Pavlodar , with which he was able to win the Kazakh championship again. After a year with Nomad Astana, the farm team of Barys Astana, he played again for the northern Kazakhs from Pavlodar in 2014/15 and won the Kazakh championship with them. In 2015 he returned to Barys Astana, where he made a new attempt in the KHL, but was mostly only used at Nomad Astana . So he returned to Pavlodar in 2016, but already moved to HSC Csíkszereda in the MOL league in October of that year .
International
For Kazakhstan, Voronzow took part in the junior division of the 2004 U18 World Championship and the 2006 U20 World Championship in Division I. In addition, he won the silver medal behind Russia with the Kazakh student selection at the 2013 Winter Universiade in Trentino, Italy .
In the senior division, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2008 , 2009 and 2015 and in the Top Division in 2010 and 2012 .
