Alfons Frings

Alfons Frings (born May 15, 1893 , † April 29, 1968 ) was a German businessman and local politician ( CDU ).

Career

Frings was the publishing director in Neuss and mayor of the city from 1946 to 1961.

He was one of eight children of the weaving factory owner Heinrich Frings and his wife Maria, geb. Sels, in Neuss. His brother Joseph (1887–1978) was Archbishop of Cologne, his brother Heinrich (1885–1946) was an Imperial Judge .
