Bertold Mathias Reinartz

Bertold Mathias Reinartz (born February 7, 1946 in Neuss ) is a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

After graduating from the Quirinus Gymnasium in Neuss , Reinartz began studying law at the University of Cologne in 1965. He continued his studies in Freiburg at the Albert-Ludwigs-University . In 1966 he moved to Bonn, where he also began studying "political science". After the 1st state examination in Bonn, he was awarded a Dr. iur. utr. at the University of Cologne is doing his doctorate with a thesis on "urban renewal and development and tax law with special consideration of the drafts for the urban development law". In 1979 he was appointed a notary in Neuss. In 1984 he was elected to the city council of Neuss and in 1987 he was elected the last honorary mayor of the city of Neuss. He held this office until 1998. He was a member of the German Bundestag in the 12th and 13th electoral terms. He was elected directly in the constituency of Neuss I as a member of the German Bundestag for Neuss and Dormagen. When the Bundestag moved to Berlin, he gave up his political activities as a member of parliament. Reinartz moved to Cologne as a notary in 2003. There he received a teaching position for the Research Institute for Political Science and European Issues at the University of Cologne in 2004, which he held for several years. During this time he became chairman of the Society for the Promotion of the Research Institute for Political Science and European Issues. V. elected. Reinartz was also a volunteer in the city sports association of the city of Cologne, whose president he was elected in 2004. In 2010 he moved to Düsseldorf as a notary. He worked there until his retirement in 2016. Reinartz - an active shooter since 1965 - was elected to the committee in Neuss in 1989. In 2000 he was elected president of the association. After he left the committee, the Neusser Schützen elected him an honorary member. From 1997, Reinartz took over responsibility for the Rheinisches Landestheater in Neuss for 20 years as honorary chairman of the board of the sponsoring association. He gave up this task in 2017 for reasons of age and has been honorary chairman of the sponsoring association ever since.
