Alfred Bohnagen

Alfred Bohnagen (also: C. Alfred Bohnagen , Carl Alfred Bohnagen ; born April 9, 1877 in Hoym ; † after 1941 ) was a German craftsman , journalist and writer .

Life

Alfred Bohnagen was the son of a shoemaker . After attending elementary school , he completed an apprenticeship as a wood turner ; later he expanded his skills by attending technical schools in Leipzig and Kassel in the field of metalworking . He worked as a turner and sculptor a . a. active in Austria , France and England and undertook extensive migrations that led him to Spain , Italy and the Balkans . From 1895 Alfred Bohnagen made articles for the specialist press ; from 1909 he published specialist books on various areas of the building trade . From 1926 to 1928 he was editor of the magazine "Ratgeber für das Kunststein- und Stuckgewerbe". Bohnagen, who had been married since 1901, lived in Leipzig with his wife and five children.

In addition to his work as a specialist author, Alfred Bohnagen had also been the author of a number of novels and short stories since the First World War .
