In a work published by the State Committee for Broadcasting in 1968 on the problems of adult education in broadcasting , Eichhorn wrote that Walter Ulbricht's demand that the “existing gap between the scientific-technical and ideological education of the socialist personality” characterize the educational tasks of broadcasting for adults (p . 5). In society, according to Eichhorn, there is no space free of ideology and further: “Where we do not (participate) in an educational setting, bourgeois ideology has an effect. De-ideologizing our educational programs meant making room for the intrusion of bourgeois ideology ”(ibid., Page 18).

As the author of the program for Radio DDR 2 , Eichhorn reported on Monday quarter to ten on Peter Härtling , Rolf Hochhuth , Franz Xaver Kroetz , Golo Mann , Gisela May , Günter Wallraff , Peter Weiss , Markus Wolf and others.
