Alfred Gülcher

Alfred Jakob Bernhard Theodor Gülcher (born December 5, 1849 in Eupen ; † June 6, 1922 at Gut Mühlenbruch near Kolberg ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

After graduation in Aachen Alfred Gülcher studied from 1870 at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn , the University of Leipzig and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn Law . He took part in the Franco-German War as a war volunteer. In 1872 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania Bonn . After his legal clerkship in Strasbourg and Aachen, he became an assessor in 1880 and later a government assessor in the Aachen government .

From the middle of 1883 to the end of 1908 Gülcher was district administrator for the district of Eupen . In 1894 he became the Prussian administrative commissioner for Neutral Moresnet .

Retired in 1909, he lived first in Aachen and later on Gut Mühlenbruch in the Kolberg-Körlin district until his death . He had a son with Emma Behn, whom he married in 1882. Alfred Gülcher was a son of the Eupen district administrator Edwin Gülcher and a nephew of Alfred Sternickel .
