Alfred Horcher

Gustav Alfred Horcher , called Alfred Horcher (born May 18, 1903 in Lahr ; † May 21, 1995 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German administrative officer and in 1947 and 1948 district administrator of the Lörrach district .

Education and early professional career

Horcher first attended elementary school from 1909, then from 1912 the grammar school in Lahr . In 1921/22 he did his first studies, but then was a commercial trainee from 1922 to 1923. From 1923 to 1928 Horcher worked as a businessman in various companies. From 1928 he studied law in Freiburg im Breisgau and Heidelberg , which he completed in 1936 with the major legal service examination. At the same time, Horcher was a court trainee in the Baden preparatory service from 1931 to 1936. In September and October 1936 Horcher completed his basic training with the Wehrmacht.

Later career and wartime

In 1936 and 1937 he worked as a legal advisor for the Oberpaur company in Freiburg, and from 1937 to 1940 as an employee at the Freiburg tax office. From October 1940 to August 1941, Horcher was imprisoned for crimes against Section 5 (1) (3) of the 1938 Special War Criminal Law Ordinance . After his release, he worked as a legal expert for the Archbishop's Ordinariate in Freiburg im Breisgau. From 1942 to 1945 he then took part in the Second World War as a paramedic in the Wehrmacht .

post war period

From September 1945 onwards, Alfred Horcher worked again as an employee of the tax office in Freiburg before he was appointed district administrator in the district of Lörrach in 1947 and 1948.
