Marion Dammann

Marion Dammann (* 24. September 1960 in Hannover ) has since 2012 District Administrator of the district Lörrach .

Life

After high school and high school with Abitur in Hanover in 1980, Dammann studied law at the University of Erlangen with the first state examination in law . From 1986 to 1989 she completed the preparatory service for the higher judicial and administrative service in the Upper District of Nuremberg with the completion of the second state examination in law. From 1989 to 1990 she worked as a legal advisor at the City of Erlangen's Legal Office .

From 1990 to 2000 Dammann was deputy head of the legal and regulatory office of the city of Lörrach and from 2001 to 2005 head of the property and building management department of the city of Lörrach. On March 17, 2005, she was elected mayor of the city of Lörrach by the local council.

On December 14, 2011, the district council elected Dammann in the first ballot as district administrator and thus successor to Walter Schneider . She received 33 votes from 57 electoral district councilors, Walter Holderried ( CDU ) , the only first state official standing against her, 21 votes; there were two abstentions. Dammann is the first woman in this position in the Lörrach district, which she assumed on March 1, 2012. On December 4, 2019, she was confirmed as the only candidate in office with 52 of 59 votes.

Marion Dammann is married, the couple has two children and lives in the Salzert settlement in Lörrach .
