Alfred Kolodniak

Alfred ("Fred") Kolodniak (born October 9, 1931 in Dewitz ) is a former German politician ( SED ). From 1984 to 1990 he was chairman of the Halle district council .

Life

Kolodniak, son of a milker, attended elementary school in Dewitz and completed from 1946 to 1949 trained as a plumber and installer in Burg Stargard . He then did an internship at the Mathias Thesen shipyard in Wismar . Between 1950 and 1954 he studied at the technical college for shipbuilding technology in Wismar with a degree as an engineer for shipbuilding. In 1954/55 he worked as an engineer for innovation in the VEB Mansfeld mining combine "Wilhelm Pieck" , in 1956/57 as the main advisor for innovation in the main administration for ore mining in the GDR Economic Council in Eisleben and from 1958 to 1966 as head of the office for innovation in the VVB non-ferrous metal industry in Eisleben. Between 1958 and 1960 he completed a distance learning course at the Office for Inventions and Patents in Berlin , with a degree as a patent engineer.

In 1959 he joined the SED. From 1964 to 1969 he was party organizer of the Central Committee and secretary of the SED company party organization in the VVB non-ferrous metal industry Eisleben and in the VVB metal processing Berlin. Between 1968 and 1973 he completed another distance learning course, this time at the party college "Karl Marx" with a degree in social science. From 1969 to 1979 Kolodniak was a political employee in the mechanical engineering / metallurgy department of the Central Committee of the SED with the economic and political support of the Mansfeld combine "Wilhelm Pieck" in Eisleben, the mining and smelting combine "Albert Funk" in Freiberg and the combine metal processing in Halle supervised. From November 1979 to December 1983 he was General Director of VEB Kombinat Metallaufbereitung in Halle. From February 1984 to January 1990 he was finally Chairman of the Council of the Halle District and from 1985 to January 1990 also a member of the Halle District Parliament .

From 1982 to 1989 he was also the chairman of the district committee of the people's solidarity in Halle and was a member of its central committee.

In January 1990 Kolodniak was expelled from the SED / PDS.
