Alfredo Poledrini

Alfredo Poledrini (born June 30, 1914 in Genoa , Italy , † April 23, 1980 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

Alfredo Poledrini received on 27 March 1937, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On October 27, 1965, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Vazari and ordered him to Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Zambia . Cardinal Secretary of State Amleto Giovanni Cicognani donated him episcopal ordination on December 5th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the official in the Vatican State Secretariat , Archbishop Angelo Dell'Acqua , and the Apostolic Delegate in the United States , Archbishop Egidio Vagnozzi . On May 21, 1966, Poledrini was also Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Malawi . Paul VI appointed him on September 20, 1971 as Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Lesotho and as Apostolic Delegate in South Africa .

On September 18, 1978 Alfredo Poledrini resigned as Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Lesotho and Apostolic Delegate in South Africa.

Alfredo Poledrini attended the fourth session of the Second Vatican Council .
