Luciano Angeloni

Luciano Angeloni (born December 2, 1917 in Imperia , Italy , † May 9, 1996 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

Luciano Angeloni received on 18 August 1940, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 24, 1970, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Vibo and ordered him to Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Malawi and Zambia . The Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints , Cardinal Paolo Bertoli , donated him episcopal ordination on February 7, 1971 ; Co- consecrators were the secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Archbishop Sergio Pignedoli , and the Bishop of Albenga , Alessandro Piazza . On November 25, 1978, Pope John Paul II appointed him Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Korea . Angeloni became Apostolic Nuncio in Lebanon on August 21, 1982 . On July 31, 1989, he was appointed Apostolic Nuncio in Portugal .

On March 15, 1993, Pope John Paul II accepted Luciano Angeloni’s resignation due to reasons of age.
