action

In 1957, the astronomer Dr. Ted Lewis presented a multitude of falling stars for the night due to a meteor shower. The lovers Penny and Dick are enjoying the night in their car when they suddenly observe an impact in the nearby mountains that ends in a ball of fire.

In the middle of the night Ted drives to the crash site and discovers a crashed spaceship. There the alien Urp takes over his body in order to capture the dangerous one-eyed and volatile alien Gotha, who caused the crash. The next day, Cody, Penny and Dick drive again to the place where Penny and Dick can barely escape the attack from Gotha. But Police Chief Dawson and Officer Vern, like everyone else, don't believe them. Meanwhile, Urp returns to Ted's wife Lana at home, but only talks about Ted in the third person and scares her with his extremely strange behavior. In the meantime, Gotha begins to murder and only leaves a slimy puddle of water at the respective crime scene.

Urp is walking to the spaceship when the waitress Tammy takes him with her in her car. He is also very strange towards her and tells of the dangerous Gotha, so that a little later she leaves him unnerved again. The situation turns serious after Dr. Miller's son Tommy reported an attack by Gotha to the police. Officer Vern is killed by the alien during this mission. After Police Chief Dawson also had a car theft by the alleged Dr. Ted Lewis and reports of strange puddles of water have been reported, he is completely unsettled.

Tammy is attacked in the restaurant after work and throws all kinds of objects at Gotha in defense. She notices that the alien cannot stand salt and escapes. Gotha appears in the cinema and claims more lives. When only Cody, Penny and Dick are in the room, the alien suddenly splits up. Tammy comes to the rescue and keeps them in check with salt. Then Urp enters the hall and stuns the two one-eyed men with his gun. He and Tammy drive them to the spaceship by car, meanwhile followed by the police and the rest of the local population. They load the two into the spaceship, and after a short speech Urp returns Ted's body, which sinks completely confused into Lana's arms. Urp then repairs the flying object and flies away.

criticism

"Fully in the style of the 1950s, satirical, but at the same time a homage to the good old science fiction film, which you can not take seriously, but certainly appreciate."

“One could assume that RW Goodwin, in his role as long-time producer of the mystery series" The X Files ", has a weakness for the classics of science fiction films. Now he's also proving it as the director of this stylish and charming SF horror comedy, which is also a lovingly cast parody of the SciFi howler of the 50s. Well-known TV faces could not be asked for long and with verve provide the necessary types. Genre gourmets will not be disappointed. "
