Alim Öztürk (born November 17, 1992 in Alkmaar ) is a Dutch - Turkish soccer player .
Career
society
Öztürk was born in 1992 in Alkmaar, the Netherlands, to parents of Turkish origin, both from the Central Anatolian province of Sivas . Here he began with the club football in the youth of AFC '34 (written out Alkmaarse Football Club '34 ). He then moved to the youth department of FC Groningen . Here he was given the opportunity to attend Johan Cruyff College , a football boarding school designed for young talents. In 2011 he moved to the Eerste Divisie club SC Cambuur-Leeuwarden and was immediately integrated into the professional squad. In his first season, Öztürk then played 5 league games. With his team he celebrated the championship of the Eerste Divisie at the end of the season and thus rose to the Eredivisie .
For the second half of the 2012/13 season, Öztürk moved to the Turkish first division club Trabzonspor . Without having played a competitive game for Trabzonspor, Öztürk was loaned to the club's second team, the second division club 1461 Trabzon , for the 2013/14 season. Here he came to 18 championship appearances and two goals at the end of the season.
In the summer break of 2014 Öztürk left Trabzon and signed a three-year contract with the Scottish first division relegated Heart of Midlothian . With the Hearts he was able to achieve direct promotion to the Scottish Premiership as a regular player . After his first season, Öztürk was also appointed captain of the team. In the 2016/17 season he lost the captain's armband and his regular place in central defense to Perry Kitchen . Öztürk therefore left the club prematurely in January 2017 and moved back to Turkey to Boluspor .
In the summer of 2018 he left Boluspor and continued his career at Sunderland AFC .
National team
Öztürk started his national team career in 2013 in the Turkish U-21 national team .
