Alina Grijseels (born April 12, 1996 in Wesel ) is a German handball player who is under contract with the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund .

Career

society

Alina Grijseels played for TV Biefang 1912 when she was young. Later she played with the women's team of TV Aldenrade in the major league and had double play rights for the A-youth Bundesliga club TV Aldekerk . In September 2013, the back player joined the third division TuS Lintfort and was still eligible to play for TV Aldekerk. In November 2014, she moved to the second division Borussia Dortmund and continued to play for TV Aldekerk with double play rights. In the 2014/15 season, Grijseels rose to the Bundesliga with Dortmund and took fourth place with Aldekerk in the German A youth championship. Then she only ran for Dortmund. With Borussia, she was in the cup final in the 2015/16 season .

National team

Alina Grijseels won the silver medal at the U18 World Cup in Macedonia with the German U18 national team in 2014 . A year later she took part in the U19 European Championships in Spain , where she was eliminated with Germany after the main round. In 2016 she took part in the U20 World Cup in Russia . On March 21, 2018, she made her debut for the German national team . She has played 19 games so far in which she scored 23 goals.
