Isabell Roch (born July 26, 1990 in Erlenbach am Main ) is a German handball player .

Career

society

The 1.77 m tall goalkeeper played in the youth teams of TV Großwallstadt and the A-youth regional league team of HSG Aschaffenburg. In October 2005, Bundesliga and former national coach Dago Leukefeld offered the then 15-year-old a job with Thuringian HC , which she accepted. Roch, who attended the Pierre-de-Coubertin-Gymnasium (an elite sports school ) in Erfurt , successfully competed for the German championship for two years with the Thuringian HC youth team. At the age of 16 she was part of the club's Bundesliga squad. On December 1, 2008, she left the Thuringian HC for sporting reasons. On December 5th, her move to the Rhein-Main bees was announced. Her father, the former national and Bundesliga goalkeeper Siegfried Roch , was the goalkeeping coach there. Due to the sudden bankruptcy of the Rhein-Main-Bienen, she moved to Borussia Dortmund . Due to the descent of BVB, she moved to the first division HSG Blomberg-Lippe in summer 2010 . In summer 2015 she joined the SG BBM Bietigheim . From the 2017/18 season she was under contract with TuS Metzingen . For the 2019/20 season she moved to league rivals Borussia Dortmund .

National team

She played 38 times in the youth national team. On March 21, 2018, she made her debut for the German national team . She has completed 21 games so far.
