Aline Brosh McKenna (born August 2, 1967 in France ) is an American screenwriter .

Life

Aline Brosh McKenna was born in France to a French woman and an Israeli engineer. She grew up in New Jersey , where she lived in Fort Lee , Demarest and Montvale , among others . After graduating from Saddle River Day School and Harvard University , she tried to get a job in publishing. During that time, she attended a six-week screenwriting course at New York University . Her first film script was the 1999 comedy A Date for Three, directed by Damon Santostefano , starring Matthew Perry , Neve Campbell and Dylan McDermott .
