Alyaksandr Michailawitsch Schydkich ( Belarusian Аляксандр Міхайлавіч Жыдкіх , Russian Александр Михайлович Жидких / Alexander Mikhailovich Schidkich * 7. January 1984 in Navapolatsk , Byelorussian SSR ) is a Belarusian ice hockey player who since 2019 when HC SHAKHTYOR SOLIGORSK in the Belarusian Extraliga is under contract.

Career

Aljaksandr Schydkich began his career as an ice hockey player at HK Vitebsk , for which he was active from 2001 to 2005 in the East European Hockey League and the Belarusian Extra League . Towards the end of the 2004/05 season he moved to their league rivals Chimik-SKA Nawapolazk , for whom he played two years before he was signed by HK Keramin Minsk towards the end of the 2006/07 season . With the capital city, the attacker became Belarusian champions for the first time in his career in the 2007/08 season . He then signed with Keramins city rivals HK Dinamo Minsk from the newly founded Continental Hockey League , in which he scored eight points, including one goal, in 33 games. Before the end of the 2008/09 season, however, the left shooter returned to Keramin in the Extraliga.

From the 2009/10 season Schydkich played for HK Homel in the Extraliga, then between 2016 and 2018 for HK Njoman Hrodna . With Hrodna he was Belarusian champion in 2017 and 2018. He then briefly returned to HK Homel before he was signed by HK Junost Minsk . With Junost he was again champion in 2019.

He has been playing for HK Shakhtsor Salihorsk since 2019 .

International

For Belarus Schydkich took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2002 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2003 . Furthermore, he was in Belarus' squad at the U20 Junior B World Cup in 2004 .
