Alyona Voinova

Aljona Woinowa ( Russian Алёна Войнова ; English Elena Voinova; born July 7, 1975 ) is a Russian sand animation artist. She appears in German-speaking countries as Aljona Voynova and is one of the most famous artists of her genre worldwide.

Life

She comes from Samara in the Volga Federal District . After experience with classical painting, design and photography, Aljona Voynova, inspired by the Israeli sand artist Ilana Yahav , discovered the art of sand animation in 2007. Since 2010, she has made numerous appearances as a sand artist on television programs and TV shows. She has also performed with music at public and corporate events around the world, for example with Vicky Leandros in Rhodes . In 2011 she was awarded the folk music crown in Germanyawarded in the “Crossover” category. In addition to Germany and Russia, her tours have now taken her to other countries, including Morocco, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Great Britain, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Austria.

At the world premiere of the Audi A6 Avant in the Humboldt Box in Berlin on May 19, 2011, she drew it as a sand picture . Other vehicles such as Rolls-Royce, Land Rover and Skoda followed. A highlight in 2012 was the DOSB's invitation to the Olympic Games in London , where they opened the German House in the London Docks together with two acrobats (live in the sand picture). In December 2013 the Bergische Symphoniker performed live the cycle of the Scheherazade by Rimski-Korsakow. In 2014 Aljona Voynova was able to take over the Sandtheater Hamburg from her German colleague Anne Löper and thus present her art to a broader public for the first time. The Sandtheater Berlin followed in 2015 in the Admiralspalast.
