Aljona Wladislawowna Lutkowskaja ( Russian Алёна Владиславовна Лутковская , internationally based on English transcription Alyona Lutkovskaya ; born March 15, 1996 in Irkutsk ) is a Russian pole vaulter .

Career

Aljona Lutkowskaja has so far achieved four major successes. Lutkowskaja won the silver medal behind the Venezuelan Robeilys Peinado (4.25 m) at the 2013 youth world championships in Donetsk, Ukraine, with a jump height of 4.15 m . Only a little later, Lutkowskaja won the gold medal in Rieti, Italy, at the Junior European Championships with 4.30 m. Gold also followed in 2014 in Eugene, Oregon, USA , where Lutkowskaja narrowly left both US Desiree Freier and New Zealander Eliza McCartney (both 4.45 m) behind at the Junior World Championships with a jump of 4.50 m . Lutkowskaja's last medal win so far dates back to 2015, when she won silver at the European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna, Sweden, with 4.20 m behind Swiss Angelica Moser (4.35 m).
