action

Claude, who grows up with her single mother, is secretly in love with her best friend Ellen. Claude works in a pizzeria with her gay friend Jesse. Ellen ridicules her friendship with new neighbor Luke. She's dating the macho and drug dealer Mark. When Luke is the victim of an act of violence against homosexuals and Claude identifies Mark as the perpetrator, she is rejected by Ellen, but Ellen seeks support with Claude, who feels betrayed by her unrequited love , since Ellen is with Mark and not with her. Claude meets Lucy at a punk concert. Lucy is a musician and likes Claude; however, in an intimate encounter, Claude is not sure whether she desires Lucy or Ellen. After Ellen is pumped full of drugs by her boyfriend, Claude confronts him. When Ellen sticks to Mark instead of Claude, Claude ends the friendship and begins a relationship with Lucy.
