Song info

There are numerous allusions to the punk and music scene in the lyrics. This starts with some song titles: then this is Gimbweiler not LA an allusion to the legendary hardcore punk - compilation This Is Boston, Not LA , KO computer an allusion to OK Computer by Radiohead , while Too stupid to fuck on Too Drunk to Fuck by the Dead Kennedys .

Ethiopia the bomb is a dystopian view of climate change and the economic crisis that is causing various species to become extinct and also the world is becoming more and more inhospitable to humans.

The song To the Moles is an expression of the band friendship with Duesenjaeger . Accordingly, their singer Tobi Neumann is also active as a guest singer.

I'm through it differs from the rest of the album by a style based on the Neue Deutsche Welle .

KO Computer describes how to deal with the new media, especially the dangers of social networks .

Music genre

Everything must be broken is the logical continuation of the style known from the previous album next stop tiled floor . It's about melodic, German-speaking punk rock, which oscillates between aggressive and melancholic, but which is a bit more poppy, but also darker than on its predecessor. The texts are kept rather cryptic.

Cover

On a white background, Napoleon is seen from the rear with a sticky note that says Everything must be broken . The band's logo is on the top left.

reception

The album was received extremely benevolently in the punk scene. In October / November 2010, André Bohnensack discussed the album and awarded 10 out of ten possible points.

"Listening to PASCOW is like seeing" Stand By Me ": pure energy and bittersweet melancholy that still makes you feel really good."

- Andé Bohnensack : Ox-Fanzine

Jens Mayer also rated the album in Visions positively:

“That is called neatly refilled: Pascow refine their tried and tested recipe for good German-language punk rock and finally develop into a permanent fixture. Everyone should notice it now at the latest. "

- Jens Mayer : Visions No. 213
