OK Computer is the third studio album by the British band Radiohead . The album was released on June 13, 1997 on Parlophone , a sub-label of EMI , and is assigned to the genre Britpop / Alternative . It is considered a milestone in rock and pop music of the 1990s. The album won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album .

On March 24th, 2009 a Collector's Edition came on the market, which contains a second CD with B-sides, live recordings and demo versions as well as a DVD with videos and live recordings.

Classification of the album

"OK Computer" marks a change in the band's history. After two more classic Britpop albums, the band began to work with electronic effects such as filters and noise . The two following albums Kid A and Amnesiac then consistently developed this approach further.
